Open Back Amber Heart Pendant

Amber is one of my favorites – transparent – richly colored – and warm to the touch. This amber heart is set with fancy sterling prongs. Open on both sides the pendant is fidget-ready -Wear with a simple tee-shirt or a collared blouse – always against your skin. A large bail can accommodate most any chain – or amber bead necklace. (I have some amber beads if you are interested!)

Amber is a resin and is quite soft – Amber is a low maintenance material. Use slightly warm water and mild hand soap to form a solution. Use your fingers to wash off any debris. Dry the stone with a flannel or untreatedcloth. To polish and shine the amber, use a drop of olive oil and a soft cloth – oil on your hands help keep amber warm and brilliant – touch it often. Please: Do not clean with polish or treated polish cloths – do not use vibratory cleaning methods – store not touching metals and other gemstones- they can scratch the amber.
